Among The Gravestones

Last night I paid  an unauthorised visit to the grave of one I knew  so well and loved and laughed and played with unaware that all the while I played  I was  dead and buried My death certificate fully on display in the garden of Jo of Arimathea And grace sat closely by my side and pointed at the tombstone where it read "Buried here in 33 A.D  ..  Steeped into the death of one who bled on Calvary" The blurred name more and more familiar now  upon the weathered mossy stone ................. Yes! No doubt about it .. it was  my very own . Still lured to leave the path of peace .. I heard that breaking of the mound of clay a rattling as ancient bits of bones rewound the tape of former foolishness and there I lay... feeling one million volts of long abandoned lust .. Proverbs threatened me the Rephaim, the fallen fools, were there ... But Grace whispered I was justified and soon to meet the C...

"You Can Count On God"

"Does not He see my ways, and count all my steps?"  (Job 31:4) God is surely, among many other things, the Greatest Mathematician. All the intricacies of structure and process of His mighty cosmos are, at least in principle, capable of being described mathematically, and the goal of science is to do just that.  This precise intelligibility of the universe clearly points to a marvelous intelligence as its Creator. God even counts  “the number of the stars; He calls them all by their names”  (Psalm 147:4). Astronomers estimate that at least 10 trillion trillion stars exist in the heavens, and God has counted and identified each one! And that is not all:  “the very hairs of your head are all numbered,”  (not counted!) Jesus said (Matthew 10:30). From the most massive star to the tiniest hair, God has counted each component of His creation. Such countings are far beyond human capabilities, for,  “the host of heaven cannot be numbered,...

My God Is A Happy God

My God Is A Happy God According to the glorious good news of the happy God, which was committed to my trust  (I Timothy 1:11). God has never lost control of His universe. He is in charge – always has been, always will be. Every plan of His is right on schedule, and one day He will reach His glorious consummation and be  “All in all”  (I Corinthians 15:28).  Therefore, regardless of what religion thinks or says to the contrary, Father is happy. He is  “the happy God,”  and He is the only true source of our own joy and happiness. Then, since Father is happy, His children can be happy. After all, those of us who already know God for Who He truly is, and have already been made His righteousness, can be happy. Even as David also describes the happiness of the man, unto whom God credits righteousness apart from works, saying, “Happy are they whose iniquities are forgiven, and whose sins are covered. Happy is the man to whom the Lord will not cha...
